Photoshoot FAQs
1. Are animals allowed?
Absolutely! We love fur babies and leashed well-behaved dogs are welcome to attend Ravenwoods photoshoots.
2. What happens if it rains?
Our barn allows for indoor photo space regardless of weather.
3. Can I book the venue as a photographer?
Of course! We offer Ravenwoods as a photoshoot venue all week. We even have a client closet and prop shop. Seasonally we schedule mini sessions that photographers can book in hour long chunks to offer to clients. Make sure you follow us on Instagram for the new setups we have!
4. How do I book a photoshoot as a client and not a photographer?
Shoot us a message on here or our social media pages and we can provide a list of the photographers we work with, have scheduled shoots here or you can bring your own photographer!
5. Can I come for a tour to take promo shots?
We have designated days each month when photographers are welcome to bring a model and take promo shots. We also have pics of past sets you’re welcome to use with photographer credit.
6. Are we able to take photos ourselves or can we bring our own photographer?
Yes! We rent space to anyone with a camera, amateur or professional.
7. Do you have any photographers you can recommend?
Our in-house photographer is Miranda Jade Photography. You can reach out to her to schedule directly. We are able to provide a list of other photographers as well.
8. What is the rental time?
Rental minimum is one hour. The time required for set up and cleanup is included in the time so please plan accordingly. You will have exclusive access to all outdoor spaces including use of our furniture and props.
9. What are the rental fee details?
Rental fees are nonrefundable and not transferable. If the rental fee is not paid within 48 hours the contract will be null and void. The rental time will then become available for rental to another photographer/client. Rental fees are for one photographer and/or second shooter only.
10. What is your cancellation policy?
If you or your client cancels within 24 hours or fails to attend the scheduled session, the rental fee is not refundable and no credit will be offered
11. What about weather?
We only offer weather rescheduling for heavy rain, high wind and snow. We do not reschedule for dew, cold, too bright or cloudy weather.
12. Do you have a bathroom and a place to change available?
Yes
13. What else do we need to know?
We do not provide supervision or accommodations for children and/or family members of photographers or clients being photographed.
Smoking and/or vaping is not allowed on the property.
Micro-Wedding/Elopment FAQs
1. What is a micro-wedding?
Mini wedding…pop up wedding…petite wedding…tiny wedding…enhanced elopements – whatever you call them - is the new, smart way for couples to tie the knot! It’s a smaller, more intimate event that you can enjoy with your closest loved ones, or with just the two of you!
2. How many guests can we have?
Mini weddings are for a maximum of 20 people. The officiant, photographer, musician, etc. are not included toward that number however, children are. We can accommodate a maximum of 10 cars (not including vendors).
3. How long does it last?
You have a 3 hour rental period that includes set up and clean up. Additional hours are available for purchase.
4. Where is the ceremony held?
We have four options –our forest ceremony site with rustic wood benches (there is a small hill that might be an issue for guests with mobility challenges), our manicured lawn or for indoor options, the white barn with a glass door that shows off the forest or the newly installed black glasshouse.
5. Do I need to have event insurance
Yes, you will be required to purchase event insurance/liability insurance policy. You may purchase a policy through your homeowners policy or we recommend www.vensura.co
6. Are animals allowed?
Absolutely! We love fur babies and leashed well-behaved dogs are welcome to attend Ravenwoods gathering. You’ll want to have someone designated to be in charge of your furry friend during the ceremony.
7. What happens if it rains?
Our barn or glasshouse allows for indoor ceremony year-round regardless of weather. Many couples who have been here during on/off rain, venture into the forest during breaks in the sprinkles for some pretty epic photos.
8. Are we able to tour the venue?
Yes, we offer both in person or Zoom tours.
9. Is there a place for us and our families to get ready?
Yes, our all white barn loft wedding suite is a beautiful spot to get ready for your perfect day. It has natural light, a full-length modern gold mirror, a vanity and a lovely chandelier.
10. Are we able to have a first dance, is music available?
We have a professional Sonos sound system available in the barn, however many couples choose to hire a professional acoustic musician to provide the soundtrack and dreamy vibe of their special day, especially if you choose the forest ceremony location.
11. Are we able to use our own vendors?
The only required vendor is the coordinators, Cascadia Wedding & Events. They are truly the best money you can spend for your wedding and will make sure your special day goes off without a hitch!
